元智大學電機系網際網路實驗室(Internet Research Lab, IRL)致力於整合人工智慧(AI)的次世代無線網路與物聯網(IoT)研究。在行動網路領域,我們探討基地台與各類新興使用者裝置(如 AR/MR/VR)之間的資源配置,並研究 AI 輔助的網路佈建、設定與最佳化方法;在物聯網領域,我們聚焦於大型語言模型(LLM)的應用、智慧邊緣系統,以及各類行動化解決方案。
本實驗室兼顧理論研究與產學實務。理論研究方面,我們已執行或參與超過十四年國科會研究計畫,並與國內外學者合作,發表數十篇 IEEE 期刊與國際研討會論文,也參與多項國際會議的議程規劃與論文審查。產學實務方面,我們已完成十餘件產學合作、委託、標案與學研計畫,計畫總金額超過新臺幣五百萬元,技術移轉金額超過新臺幣一百萬元,並累積八件國內外專利。合作對象涵蓋民間企業、工業技術研究院、國家中山科學研究院、國家災害防救科技中心及桃園國際機場等單位,擁有豐厚的實蹟。
加入本實驗室的學生可培養資通訊專業能力、AI 輔助網路程式設計與系統建置能力,並累積工程論文閱讀、數學分析、模擬驗證與實作開發的經驗。
Internet Research Lab investigates AI-enabled next-generation wireless networks and Internet-of-Things (IoT) systems. In mobile networks, we study resource allocation between base stations and emerging user devices, including AR/MR/VR systems, as well as AI-assisted network deployment, configuration, and optimization. In the IoT domain, we explore applications of large language models (LLMs), intelligent edge systems, and mobile solutions for diverse real-world scenarios.
Our lab places equal emphasis on theoretical research and industry-academia collaboration. We have led or participated in more than fourteen years of National Science and Technology Council research projects, published dozens of IEEE journal and conference papers, and contributed to international conference organization and peer review. We have also completed more than ten industry-academia, commissioned, tender, and research projects, with total project funding exceeding NTD 5 million and technology-transfer revenue exceeding NTD 1 million. Our work has produced eight domestic and international patents and collaborations with enterprises, ITRI, NCSIST, the National Science and Technology Center for Disaster Reduction, and Taoyuan International Airport.
Students gain expertise in information and communication technologies, AI-assisted network programming and system development, engineering-paper reading and mathematical analysis, as well as simulation and hands-on implementation.
